Compassion Tuesday
Ok. It’s that time again. I admit I was absent last week because I was on a honeymoon, in a remote location with no electricity or internet. (Ok, that’s a tiny lie. I was in Orlando, but I did not blog at all, I hope I can be forgiven.)
So.. here’s the scoop. Every week, me and a group of bloggers each take one day to choose a child who has been waiting at Compassion for longer than six months, and put that child up on our site. The schedule is as follows:
- Toby Keathley – Monday
- ME!!– Tuesday
- caffeinatedfaith – Wednesday
- shawnw.org – Thursday
- Andrea | Shalom Existence – Friday
This week I chose Gladis. If you’re feeling a void, or even feeling like God is calling you to do this. Take a second to pray about it, and see if this is the direction God is moving you. If it is. Click here or the picture below. Together we can make a difference. Is it in you?
Name: Gladis Guadalupe Mejia Dominguez (ES7980366)
Birthday: August 10, 2002 Age: 6
Gender: Female
Region: Central America and Caribbean
Country: El Salvador
Program: Renacer Student Center
Personal and Family Information:
Gladis lives with her father and her mother. She is responsible for running errands and cleaning. Her father is sometimes employed as a laborer and her mother maintains the home. There are 3 children in the family.
Telling stories and playing with dolls are Gladis’s favorite activities. In kindergarten her performance is above average and she also regularly attends church activities and Bible class.

It’s Tuesday again. Which is exciting to me. If this is your first time here, let me give you the rundown. On each day of the week Monday – Friday, me, and a group of bloggers take a day to feature a child who has been waiting six months or longer for sponsorship. These are the bloggers:

If you’re curious or have any more questions head over to the compassion part on my blog, and see what this blog has done.
Today, I chose Trisia. Her full name is Trisia Pretty Dameria Boru Purba. That’s a sassy name. Try to say it out loud. Now you know why I chose her. Her picture is filled with just as much sas, and it is cute. Let’s get down to it.
I won’t go into the whole “guilt” thing. But I will say. Pray about it. Has God been calling you for some time now? Do you feel like something needs to be done, or like you need to do something? Maybe this is it. Say a prayer, and let God guide you. To sponsor Trisia, click here, or on the image at any time.

Compassion Tuesday

So, I get to the site today to choose a kid. And the site is down for maintenance. Go figure right? Well, I am going to post one later today. When it is back up and my work has slowed down. Maybe on lunch? BUT. What can we do until then? Well, you personally can keep checking here. This link should take you to a list of kids who have been waiting for longer than six months.
Find it in your heart to sponsor, and if you do, comment here. It’s not hard to find a reason. Just look at some of those kids. Now, remember, without your help, these kids will more than likely die. It’s not “without us, these kids won’t get a new PSP.” or “Without us, these kids will more than likely end up in a gang.” Without us, these kids will more than likely starve.
We can make a difference. Do you want to make a difference? Then click the link above. You don’t have to comment here. The option is always open though.

God, today we ask you to open our hearts. We ask you to reach down and change us, show us that our bank account, our iPod’s, Cable, our cell phones don’t matter. God, open our hearts, minds, and make this sponsorship possible. Jesus, it’s in your name we pray.
